What are Popular Real Estate Staging Styles?

When staging a home it is important to do in a style that will speak to the most likely buyer. At KCD Staging we evaluate the property to identify what will work best to ensure the shortest time on market with the highest possible sale price. In most cases, we land on one of the following home staging styles, all of which we are capable of executing through our huge inventory of home staging furnishings and accessories.
Modern
Modern is a broad design term that typically refers to our current design trends. As of now, this means lots of clean, crisp lines and a simple color palette. You’ll often find a pleasant mix of wood, glass and steel and perhaps mid-century style furnishings.
Luxe
Luxurious staging incorporates simple straight lines and organic shapes, with an emphasis on the ergonomics and functionality of the furnishings. Here you will find a lot of soft, plush furnishings and shiny surfaces.
Contemporary - Transitional
Contemporary design doesn't refer to a specific period of time, it's constantly changing to reflect the popular styles of present day design. Transitional design mixes traditional furnishings with modern elements that keep a room from looking like too much of one particular style.
Classic
For a timeless appearance, we’ll use a neutral color palette and mix different design elements from a variety of eras to bring a home to life with statement-making appeal. Classic never goes out of style.
Art Deco- Glam
Taking cues from the glamorous 1920s and Hollywood styles of the ‘30s, this style features a bold blend of color inspired touches and high-polished glamor. The clean lines and ultra-glam accessories articulate a strong sense of lavishness.
Transitional- Rustic Farmhouse
What’s old is new again! To give a home a weathered, yet sophisticated look, this style incorporates real and simulated weathered elements like rusty iron, gray washed reclaimed wood, ivory linens, cotton and wool throws and wicker baskets.
Industrial - Organic Modern
A little bit of post industrial design mixed with some local earthy materials. Mixing materials like live edge wood, green moss, fragrant leather & metals like brass, iron & chrome create a strong, masculine style. The palette of colors are black, taupe, brown, gray, caramel, white & ivory.
Scandi- Boho
Mixing Scandinavian and Bohemian designs with mid century flair offers an incredible hip look that’s all the rave these days. The palette starts neutral and holds splashes of color. Look for lots of earthy elements and geometric prints, as well as brass and gold.
