Staged to Sell: Children’s Bedrooms

For many house shoppers, one of the biggest factors that they must consider when searching for the perfect place to call home, is the space available for a growing family. While many in the market seek ensuite baths and walk in closets in the master bedroom, a possible child’s room needs to paint a different scene - one of endless imagination and cozy bedtime stories. At KCD Staging, we love helping families picture themselves at home while touring a property by dressing kid’s bedrooms in delightful, inspiring manners. Check out these staged children’s rooms from some of our recent home stagings in Seattle and the surrounding communities.
Room for Twins

A lot would be left to the imagination if this rather large child’s room was empty. We wanted to showcase the size of the room by dressing it for multiple children, perhaps even twins! When staging, it is important to speak to as many family situations as possible. While we illustrated the room for two beds, this could easily be transformed into one youngster’s paradise.
Teen Centric

Shopping for a home doesn’t only occur when kids are young. Many potential homeowners don’t buy their first home, or step up to a larger home, until their children are well into their teen years. We believe it is important to try and speak to teens who may be anxious or nervous about moving by showing them how their new room could look!
Room to Grow

As we all know, as children grow and their interests evolve, so to do their bedrooms. This room portrays a young lady who may be holding onto fond childhood memories, but opening up to new friends and fresh adventures - such as moving into a new home. This is a room where a child can get excited about the future!
Simplicity Speaks

At KCD Staging we understand that sometimes less is more. A hint of character can allow the imagination of a youngster to run wild. Letting a child dress this room in their mind can generate an excitement that surely can’t be contained. Imagine your child running into this room and saying, “I call this room!” and then pointing out exactly where their own toys, artwork and furniture will go.
As professional home stagers , we know our job is to speak directly to buyers to decrease market time and increase the sale price. A home without a staged children’s room may result in a missed sale opportunity if the homebuyers can’t see the full potential of a space for themselves!
