Make Your Home Stand Out With These Kitchen Staging Tips

Kitchens are a focal point when it comes to whether a potential buyer will put an offer on your home. At KCD Staging we see time and time again how important home staging is, even in a hot real estate market. Here are some tips to make your kitchen stand out from the crowd.
Keep Clutter at Bay
A major draw for buyers is walking into a space that is clean, organized, and free of overly-personalized items. Start by removing any magnets from the refrigerator. If you have collections on display (think tea cups or souvenir spoons) put them away. Keep countertops clear, but that doesn't mean you should shove everything into the nearest cupboard. Homebuyers are sure to peer into cupboards and drawers to make sure there is enough space. The key is to keep items organized.

Pick a Pop of Color
Modern kitchens tend to be awash in neutral colors, such as white and stainless steel. Choose an accent color in a nearby room to freshen up the kitchen. Incorporate natural and manmade items. If yellow is your go-to shade, place a bowl of fresh lemons on the counter, and hang a yellow tea towel.

Use Quality Barstools
If you have a kitchen bar, adding well-made barstools can help homebuyers imagine spending time there. But you don’t need to completely fill up the space. If your kitchen bar has room for four stools, add two or three, as this can really open up the area, making it appear larger. Make sure the size of the stool doesn’t overpower the rest of the kitchen.
